# Welcome to Bistre A quiet place to write. Your notes live on this device — nothing is sent anywhere until you sign in. Sign in with X to keep the same notebook on every phone and computer. ## Find anything instantly Press the search shortcut and type. The list filters as you go, title and body together. ## Markdown, when you want it Write in Markdown, then toggle **Preview** to read the rendered page. Headings, lists, quotes, and code all come through. ## Stay on the keyboard - New note, search, and preview all have shortcuts - Pin a note to keep it at the top of the list - Tag notes and filter the list to one tag - Turn a line into a to-do, or tick the box in Preview - Export a backup, or import Markdown and JSON - `J` and `K` move through the list - `?` shows every shortcut The first line of a note becomes its title. Empty pages are named Untitled until you write.
